Community and Indigenous engagement

At RES, we are committed to developing projects that deliver clean, secure, renewable energy while respecting the land, environment, and communities where we work. Our approach is built on early, transparent, and ongoing dialogue. Through engagement with Indigenous Nations, stakeholders, and the public, we aim to ensure that your interests and concerns inform project planning from the beginning.

RES also emphasizes its commitment to meaningful and respectful engagement with Indigenous Nations across Canada. Guided by our Reconciliation Action Plan (2025-2029), we value collaboration and recognize Indigenous Peoples as essential partners whose stewardship, knowledge, and perspectives significantly enhance project outcomes.

The Manitoba Métis Federation (MMF) via its affiliate the Red River Métis Power Corporation (RRMPC) is the majority Indigenous partner and owner of the Fleury Winds Project. RES and the MMF have signed a Memorandum of Understanding outlining shared objectives for strategic renewable energy development.

The Fleury Winds Project is currently in the early development phase. We invite you to share your initial feedback and questions by emailing us at fleury.winds@res-group.com. Stay tuned for details on a public open house and additional engagement opportunities.
